Assessing Nigeria 2019 was initially published in sequential releases with the sole intention to observe Nigeria’s state of affairs and relate them to their causes. The first part was published back on 5th February of this year. Almost as if it is a natural predetermined law, state of affairs is expected to change with time – although, they occasionally face stalemates. With the release of the first five parts, new events popped up in the political arena that still matters and gained public attention, like the Minimum Wages debate that is weighed heavily now only a few months away from elections. Be as it may, an effort was made to present the parts in general contexts so that they apply to different scenarios of the same question.

The nature of the ever-changing state of current affairs compels us to address the situations that were not promptly addressed in the series. For the Assessing Nigeria 2019 series – now compiled into a booklet – to achieve its set goal, articles that were written by me and other writers before or during the writing of this series, but are not part of it, were added as appendixes. This will hopefully, fill the gaps that were left empty.
